User Agreement

By creating an account or using PharmShield you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

PharmShield is a software service built, owned and operated by JAB DT LIMITED (trading as JAB DT UK), a company registered in Scotland (Company No. SC817808). All intellectual property in the app belongs to JAB DT LIMITED.

2. Purpose of the service

PharmShield helps registered pharmacies record near misses, temperature checks, SOP sign-offs and governance reports. It is a record-keeping and quality-improvement tool. It is not a medical device and does not give clinical advice.

3. Professional responsibility

The pharmacy owner, Superintendent Pharmacist and Responsible Pharmacist remain fully responsible for patient safety and for meeting the GPhC Standards for Registered Pharmacies, NHS contractual requirements and all applicable law. Reports produced by PharmShield must be reviewed and signed off by an appropriate professional.

4. No patient-identifiable data

Do not enter patient names, NHS numbers, addresses or other patient-identifiable information. Near-miss records should describe the error, not the patient. You are responsible for any personal data you choose to enter.

5. Data protection (UK GDPR)

The pharmacy is the data controller for records it enters; JAB DT LIMITED acts as data processor and handles data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Data is kept isolated to your pharmacy and is used only to provide the service. You may request export or deletion of your pharmacy's data at any time.

6. Accounts and security

Each staff member must use their own account and keep their login private. Sign-offs and records are tied to the user who made them. Owners and managers are responsible for removing staff who leave.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, falsify records, attempt to access another pharmacy's data, or use the service unlawfully.

8. Subscriptions

Access after the free trial requires an active subscription. Fees, billing periods and cancellation are as shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

9. Availability and liability

We aim to keep PharmShield available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. You should keep any records you are legally required to retain. To the extent permitted by law, JAB DT LIMITED is not liable for indirect losses or for clinical decisions made by users. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update this agreement and will notify users of material changes. This agreement is governed by the laws of Scotland.
